The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Secretariat announced that 23 films — 12 from Korea and 11 from other parts of Asia — have been selected for this year’s newly expanded Vision section.

Formerly part of “Korean Cinema Today – Vision,” the section now stands independently, introducing a broader range of works from both emerging and established Asian filmmakers.
This year, the festival has expanded its awards to 17 categories, including Actor of the Year, KB Vision Audience Award, and the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) Prize.
Through these initiatives, BIFF aims to actively discover and support independent filmmakers across Korea and Asia.
The 30th Busan International Film Festival will take place from September 17 to 26, spanning ten days at the Busan Cinema Center.
