Actress Song Ji-hyo will return to the big screen after five years with the film The House of Meeting, set to premiere on October 15.

The film received critical and audience acclaim at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, also winning the Cineteca Nacional México Distribution Support Award for its artistry.

Directed by Jung-yoon Cha in her feature debut, the story warmly depicts the bonds formed among a women’s prison guard, an inmate, and the inmate’s daughter.

Song takes on the role of Tae-jeo, a veteran guard of 15 years, portraying a woman whose life changes after her first act of “meddling”

Alongside Song, actresses Do Young-seo and Ok Ji-young join the cast, delivering a moving story of solidarity that spans across generations.
