“Dec. 3 Coup” Anniversary: Two Documentaries to Premiere

Two documentary films will be released to mark the first anniversary of the Dec. 3, 2024 martial law and coup crisis.
“Martial Law” chronicles the former president’s abuse of emergency powers and the nationwide declaration of martial law.
“We, the People of Korea” focuses on citizens’ candlelight rallies and election campaigns that followed the crisis.
Both films are documentaries, emphasizing factual records and realism rather than dramatization.
A year after the coup, audiences are eager to see how these films interpret the nation’s turning point.
