K-Pop Demon Hunters won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Animated, beating Zootopia 2.

At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards held in Beverly Hills, California, on Jan. 12 (KST), the film topped six competing nominees.

As Zootopia 2, released in November last year, had been considered a strong frontrunner, the result was widely seen as an upset.

The film also took home the Best Original Song award, achieving a double win and cementing its status as a leading animation of 2025.

Since its Netflix release, it has surpassed 300 million cumulative views, while its OST “Golden” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.
