“K-Pop Demon Hunters” Wins Oscar

Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters won the Best Animated Feature award at the Academy Awards.
The film received the honor at the 98th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 16, defeating Disney’s Zootopia 2.
Director Maggie Kang said the award was dedicated to Korea and Koreans around the world.
Co-director Chris Appelhans highlighted the power of music and storytelling to connect people across cultures.
Since its release on Netflix, the film has surpassed 500 million global views, becoming the platform’s most successful movie content.
